I am so to happy read about the Ganoderma Lucidum which is the Reishi Mushroom Herb in the Organo Gold Black Coffee. I started the Black Coffee a month ago. This book is awesome. I followed the instructions of how to use the Black coffee and obtain results as intended and WOW, it was great. For me, it functioned as a diuretic and an energy booster. I was awake, alert and full of energy even after working 12 hours night shift. I recommend this book 100% to everyone.

This is the BEST book I've ever read about the joy of how you can change your life for the better with a little determination. This guy also has a website Fat2FitFred that shares his tips and more about his journey. This is a fantastic read for those who need a little help with realizing their goals.

A very genuine account of one man's weight loss journey. Not award-winning prose and that's not the point of the book. It's very authentic and motivating. Some great tips on how to lose weight and keep it off, as well as a very personal story to make it interesting.

i feel better overall. get it

what i was looking for. had a massive knee surgery and difficulty regaining mobility. tried physical therapy but could only go so far. this finally took me to a pain free motion and at least 95% of my mobility is back and continue working on the last 5% heck there's evan a side element….i feel better overall. get it, try it, it works

I really enjoyed this workout

I've just completed finished the six week program for Body Sculpting with Yoga. I followed her advice on days and times to work out, but instead of doing just one difficultly level, I did all three (so for each workout, I repeated it three times starting with beginner, then intermediate, then advanced). I have completed every workout in this book and followed her advice to the letter. Here's what I found:
1. You will get stronger, especially in the upper body and core.
2. You will shake and sweat.
3. You will need to make modifications if you have past injuries (especially knees).
4. You will not necessarily get any more flexible unless you add more of your own stretching to the workout.
5. You need to supplement this workout with more cardio.
I really enjoyed this workout. It gives you a great feeling of strength and vitality. Some of the moves don't flow seamlessly, but its nothing you can't work around. If I had one complaint, it is with the stretches at the end. She gives 8 or so stretches and then says to randomly pick any three at the end of every workout. I found her stretches to be awkward and potentially dangerous since she says to hold them for 3-5 minutes. I ended up doing my own more comprehensive stretching at the end to avoid muscle soreness the next day.
I would recommend this workout to anyone familiar with yoga alignment and caution beginners to really study the pictures and make sure their bodies are copying Gwen's. Also, I would stress that these workouts are more inclined toward athletes and strength training, so if you are looking for flexibility, more advanced twists/backbends or meditative postures, you will have to supplement.

Not sculpting with yoga, but yoga and then sculpting with weights

I must admit I am disappointed. I was very excited to find a book on body sculpting with yoga as I would love to combine weightlifting and yoga. Weightlifting alone has stressed my body too much lately, and I could feel great only after practicing yoga. I miss strenght training though and was hoping to read in this book about combining those two discicplines. I was expecting more of yoga poses with weights, incorporated in a fluid way - more of routines that can be found on DVD - Yoga for weight loss for beginners with Maggie Rhoades. Instead you can find here yoga poses and weight lifting exercises separately - as bench press, rows etc, and then descriptions of the routines that have those exercises included, usually first yoga poses and then exercises with weights.

There's nothing wrong with it, and maybe beginners on both topics will be satisfied with this book, but having 30 books on yoga and 20 on weighlifting I don't need anoher book describing those exercises separately.
I can make such routines on my own, practicing yoga asanas first and then proceeding to weighlifting.
There's just nothing innovative here!
Well, I just think the title of the book is misleading. This is not body sculpting with yoga.This title would be more accurate for any power yoga DVD or book..

The book has some info on cleansing the body with diet which I found quite usefull. That's why I give a book 2 stars.

Really helps you Bounce Back

I bought this book from the author herself at a book signing where she gave a very motivational speech. The book is an easy read with on the spot evaluations of how to move forward in life and not backwards. I would recommend this book to anyone that needs a little reminder that we have to love ourselves before we can truly love others. I loved the personal stories that helped relate real life issues. Great book and one that helps you "Bounce Back"

I bought this book at a book signing at a local college. After meeting the author and seeing how positive she is, you can't help but fall in love with her spirit and zest for life. With that being said......this book did not disappoint. I loved going through this journey with Lisa Bien and learned to truly love myself and feel more confident in everything I do. I learned to "Bounce Back".

As someone who has lost someone to suicide, this book was actually comforting to me. I applaud Andy’s courage, strength and vulnerability to share his story. I feel anyone would benefit from the knowledge and wisdom within these pages whether or not suicide or serious depression has touched your life. Even if you’ve slipped into a funk or have difficulty with change of any kind, the stories and exercises in this book will add life changing tools to your spiritual tool box. Andy also offers a plethora of resources at the end of this book to assist you in moving forward and creating your best life, a life you are excited to show up for. I immediately finished this book and went through several of the bonus tools and I’m looking forward to incorporating all of this wisdom into my daily practice of living. Thank you Andy!

Wise commentary and advice about the human condition

Our own mortality is a sensitive subject--not one to be discussed lightly, or without the requisite life wisdom. Andy Grant does a superb and thoughtful job. This book isn't just a godsend to the person who has dealt with the suicide of a friend or relative or someone who might be contemplating suicide as a "way out". It's also a valuable read for anyone who has to face loss and disappointment--which would include all of us. Still Here really made me think about life, my own mortality, and how important it is for us to support each other as we navigate our way through it all. A well-written book on a subject we all probably need to ponder.

Positive and Encouraging!

Living in a dark, distant place can be lonely and dangerous. Many people struggle daily with depression and suicidal thoughts. Even if the thought was just that, a passing thought, and quickly went away, the danger of harming oneself still exists.

"Still Here" takes you on the journey of a man who struggled with depression and suicide throughout his life. He shares his experiences and gives tips to help anyone struggling with these same experiences. I suggest readers keep an open mind and be honest with themselves as they read this book. I felt encouraged by the author's positive advice. For example, someone who "attempts" suicide is not a failure - they are an "attempt survivor". Deep down inside suicide is not what anyone wants.

The author goes on to suggest that suicidal thoughts can upset you emotionally because that is not the real you. People with suicidal thoughts are not crying for help they are crying for love. What a wonderful positive inspiration to give someone who has dark thoughts - give them love. This seems so simple. The author introduces six keys to loving life. He offers them in the hopes that readers can relate to at least one or even several of these keys to realize there are many more options and choices in life to choose other than suicide.

I encourage anyone who is having suicidal thoughts and struggling with daily depression to get this book, sit down and relax with a highlighter, and read and re-read while marking all the positive points that have touched you. There are tools and free resources for readers to use throughout their lives and not just during the dark times. Get out of that safe zone. Don't be afraid to live!

Not For Everyone

From the back cover of the book: "Whether you are a novice D/s player or an experienced Master or slave, this insightful and forthright volume will prove to be a great read and a valuable reference guide." NOT.
This was a disappointing read, given that it purports to be about creating and living an erotic dominant/submissive lifestyle. It is certainly about how Rinella does/did it, but as he points out again and again throughout the book, all relationships are different, as are the people in them. Anyone who's already started down the path to making their own D/s relationship work won't find much of use here, unless they happen to be very Rinella-like in their views and preferences. We learn an awful lot about Rinella and what he likes, and almost nothing is mentioned about the slave and how he handles being a slave, overcomes challenges, finds satisfaction in his choices, etc. Shouldn't a book called "The Compleat Slave" be about *slaves*?
As a guide for newbies to coming out into the leather scene, it's probably pretty good, but that's not what the book is supposed to be about, according to the title and jacket blurb.
There is no soul to this writing; if you're actually interested in living the slave lifestyle, you won't find much of use here. Rinella does say that to be a good slave you must be obedient and worshipful, but then gets bogged down in details of how to use personal ads and leather bars to find a partner, how to negotiate scenes, how to [satisfy], etc. All good information for some people, but not what I was expecting when I bought the book...

Disappointing

There should be more, much much more, material about the sublime nuances of the Master and slave dynamic than what there is presented in this work. Instead the author provides the audience with material that can be easily found at any community mental health organization that sponsors courses on intimate relationships. Instead of reading about these issues it would be time better served to attend community mental health establishments to get the hands on assistance about intimate relationships -- at least there would be one on one help with the issues this author writes about. There is little to no real application much needed for the subtleties of the Master and slave dynamic. Nice try but no cigar. This author doesn't seem to be getting it and to use an old English term to suggest that Compleat is suggestive of possessing awesome insight into this topic is quite misleading to the literary public -- nothing more than a lackluster etymological word-play game. Disappointing is the best term that I can manage to evoke to describe this work but then again what could anyone expect from the author of The Master's Manual (should be entitled A Master's Manual).

Its about relationships, not a how-to

This book is somewhere between the slave training guides by "Miss Abernathy" and the idealized multitude of "first-person" stories you can find anywhere. This is not a how-to manual. This is instead a look at relationships and how they might actually work or not work using one man's life as the basis. He covers about every topic I can think of that a gay master-slave couple might encounter but there are no how-to details here as he states in his introduction. Frankly given the personal nature of the book I wish the stories could have continued, often we just see snippets that left me wanting to know more especially on the slave side of the relationship. If you are looking for someone to give you the "one true path/method" look elsewhere. Looking to think more and be reassured that yes, love can equal ownership; this is a good book to start with.

Don't Panic

This handbook nicely fits between the well-intention one liners friends/family give you like "sleep when the baby sleeps" and "don't worry, it will come naturally" and big thick opinionated tomes on being a parent.... by given you some practical, no-nonsense, philosophy-free tips and suggestions on how to more easily handle the challenges of being a mother first few months after having a baby. It is particularly focused on the mother taking care of herself.

All I've ever wanted out of these types of books is a candid overview of what to expect, tips/tricks, and especially the surveys/graphs of how frequently something does/doesn't occur. This checks all of those boxes and is a fast and pleasant read as well. Super helpful!

It's nothing to do with homeopathy and it's a very easy read. Simple, straightforward language to explain scientific concepts. You might think this is a good thing or a bad thing but there are no gags. Double blind trials are for drugs and would be completely impractical for a long term diet trial. 2. The placebo effect is greatly overrated. Studies show that it is only short lived. 3. What does "scientifically proven" mean anyway? Nothing in medicine has ever been "scientifically proven". There are only studies (most of them done on rats!) and theories and hypotheses. The Seignalet diet was trialed on over two and a half thousand patients and found to work in 91 different diseases. Patient records were kept meticulously and results tables compiled. How much more scientific than that can you get?

A concise guide to health!

After reading tones of books on health and dieting, this is the first one that really make sense to me.
Quite funny, as French is my mother tongue, to read it in English, but I did not find any french Kindle version....
Anyway, it is just quite an introduction to this way of life and I will go on looking for more information...

Had very aggressive rheumatoid arthritis for 12 years with 2 injections per week to stay mobile (Enbrel and Mtraxate) plus painkillers etc. Followed this diet, after 3 months no more treatment or injections and very little pain, 6 months later I have a new lease of life. NOTE after 2 or 3 weeks on the diet you may go through extreme pain for a few days as your body detoxes and readjusts, don't give up as this shows you that it IS working. I have a letter from my RA Prof at our hospital to say that following my change of diet (Seignalet) I have so little sign of RA that they will keep me under observation but find no need for further treatment. My Protein C reactive has fallen from a high of 55 with an average of 25-37 with the injections to 7-9 with no treatment. You must follow it strictly for it to work.

In10tions: A Mindset Reset Guide to Happiness by Melissa Escaro is a little book that shows us how we can use intentions to make changes in our lives.

We are given a ninety day program to reset our minds. Each day we are given a morning intention focus and a mantra for the day such as, “I view every person with an open heart.” Each night we are given an evening reflection which consists of three questions to journal about how we used the intention throughout the day and how we can improve upon it.

This book is a great 90 day program to help reset your mindset. The intentions are powerful and the journal writing helps to bring the intention into your life. I would recommend this book to those who want a quick ten minute program that will help you change your life.

A great book for modern mindfulness

I purchased this book in order to find some calm in each hectic day. With each daily practice, I am reminded to be more mindful of the thoughts that carry me through each day. Melissa gently leads the reader down a path that replaces chaos with better practices and allows you own your own journey. I highly recommend this book to those that are seeking the calm, but also to those who strive to be more intentional with thoughts, words and actions.

Delightful and highly beneficial guide to meditation and personal growth!

“In10tions” is a remarkably wise, gentle and loving guide for how to begin a meditation practice. Melissa Escaro is a spiritual explorer and life coach, who, in addition to a daily yoga and meditation practice, has done a deep study of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). Her approach to meditation is fundamentally wide open and non-dogmatic; as she says, “The key to remember is there is no one ‘correct’ way to meditate, you do what works for you.” In her own practice, each day she uses some different key word, such as “Love” or “Faith”, to create an intention, a focus point for the meditation, and then brings her mind back to that word during the meditation from time to time, and “allows the mind to settle.” She also uses full-length intentions, or affirmations, throughout the day, and in this book she sets forth a 90-day course in setting intentions in our own lives, as an aid not only to developing a meditation practice, but as a foundation for all levels of personal growth. The 10 in the book’s title indicates that only 10 minutes, morning and evening, are needed for this course. This is something anyone can do!

One example of the affirmations Ms. Escaro uses: “My words of affirmation and positivity create the experiences of my life.” The intention word that accompanies that phrase is “Positive,” which can be repeated throughout the day to remind ourselves of our intention. A brief journaling session each evening is included in the process, which focuses on three questions the author provides for that day, about how we made use of our intention and how we might expand that intention in our lives. One of my favorite parts of this book is the single line in italics at the end of each chapter, which in every case seems to convey a dash of profound wisdom, integrating the affirmation with a higher understanding. In the case of the above affirmation, the line is: “The language we use directs the soul to the destination that we seek.” Powerful writing, I must say.

What a delightful and beneficial book this is! I have no doubt that this work will bring about a potent positive transformation in the life of anyone who follows through on the 90-day plan. Heartily recommended!
