Useless, poorly written, bad recipes, and wants you to eat a pound of Italian bread on keto??

As another 1-star reviewer said, this book feels like a joke. It pulls you in at first, because, man, what a deal - most keto recipe books only give about 25-50 recipes, so a book with 365 recipes seemed like a good resource to have around when you're hungry and don't know what to make for dinner.

This book is so poorly written that I really wonder if anyone vets the quality of eBooks before they're released. Clearly nobody did in this case, because there's typos all over the pages, missing steps to recipes ("1 square of dark chocolate" inexplicably becomes shavings at some point; there's references to a low-carb bread recipe, with no actual recipe for it; you're instructed to serve a "head of cauliflower" riced and cooked without any instructions on how to do so). There's also duplicate recipes (there's two deviled egg recipes that list the *exact* same ingredients) and laughably bad "cooking" instructions ("Press down with a weight until you smell burning" for a grilled sandwich... made with "3 Low Carb Buns"... my head is spinning as a type this).

There is also no nutritional information for the recipes provided in this book. No calories or fat/carb/protein content information is given at all, which is arguably the most important part of maintaining a keto diet.

Most shocking and egregious of all, many of these recipes couldn't be considered "keto" by any stretch of the imagination. I see some 5-star reviewers saying how easy it is to follow a keto diet using these recipes. That's because they're not. There's one recipe that calls for a pound of Italian bread. Another that calls for 1/4 cup of Italian bread crumbs. Another calls for a can or a jar of vodka sauce (I can't remember which, because I already returned this "book" asked for a refund and can no longer access it).

Almost every recipe here ends with the bullet-pointed exclamation, "Enjoy!" Every time I read that word, it's almost like the author is laughing in my face, unable to contain herself for pulling such a good prank on us, the unfortunate readers. Or it's like someone's nice and well-meaning aunt decided to push her sleeves up and use a computer for the first time and Google searched 365 "different" ways to make eggs in mildly offensive "ethnic" ways (A Thai recipe including "quick kimchi" using purple cabbage? Mexican "Festa"? Did she mean Fiesta?).

I really hope anyone who purchases this book returns it and does some more research on the keto diet before eating a pound of Italian bread and wondering why they aren't feeling any different.

The Anti-Keto Diet Book

I don't think Keto is what this author thinks it is. I'm really not sure if the author just borrows random recipes and doesn't care what they are or if the whole book is a joke.

Pros:
Entertainment value.
Borrowed for free.

Cons:
Could possibly be dangerous if people take it seriously. One recipe calls for a cup of vegetable oil. Canola oil and all-purpose flour. I'm pretty sure this is a joke and the author is counting on the readers to be too dumb to notice.

Fantastic book of recipes!

This is a truly awesome Keto Diet cookbook. I have used the keto diet many times over the years, but I have always struggled with finding good recipes that are still keto friendly. I was tired of eating meat, cheese and eggs. This book really gives you a lot of options for delicious food if you are on the keto diet. I have tried a few so far and I really love the keto trail mix. This is great because it is a keto-approved snack that isn't string cheese or a beef stick. Awesome book.
