About the Author
Gary earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Morehouse College where he studied Spanish and minored in Biology. After completing his undergraduate studies, he continued his education by working towards a Masters degree in Physiology & Biophysics from Georgetown University with a focus on Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Gary is an aspiring dental professional and is currently applying to dental school. He hopes to combine his background in the sciences and modern languages to elevate dental care in underserved areas. Gary was born and raised in North Carolina. In his spare time, Gary enjoys tennis, basketball, cooking, volunteering, and traveling.
Ashley, a native of San Diego, CA, grew up as the daughter of both a U.S. Navy Captain dentist and a dental hygienist. Everyone Smiles was inspired by Grisham's travels all around the world, where she interacted with children who often broke the language and cultural barrier with a smile. A graduate of Spelman College, Grisham earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and holds a minor in Chinese language. Ashley is currently finishing her last year at Georgetown law school and upon graduation will join the law firm of Paul Hastings LLP. In her free time Ashley enjoys kayaking, musical theatre, serving as a creative consultant & playing with her dog Bella.

Everyone Smiles

Everyone Smiles is a beautiful book, full of photographs of, well, smiles! This book, written by Ashley N. Grisham and Gary L Kersey, Jr, is an educational book on the importance of dental hygiene and protecting a healthy smile. The text offers a step by step guide to good oral health and lots of encouragement is found in the photographs of a diverse group of children, smiling of course!
What I like most about this book is the photography. I love looking at pictures of people, and especially with my grand daughter. The authors did a fantastic job of capturing smiles from diverse backgrounds.
As Everyone Smiles is a "child’s educational step-by-step guide on how to keep one’s smile clean and healthy" I plan to give it to our family's dentist to add to the office library. Thanks to Ambassador International for this complimentary copy, in exchange for this review.

Excellent book. Simple

Excellent book. Simple, bright photos. Well worded. My son loves it and it's a perfect tool to introduce proper dental hygiene. Bonus points for the author being from San Diego! Well written book and I would recommend it to all the young future dental patients!

Everyone Smiles, by Ashley N. Grisham and Gary L. Kersey, Jr., does a fantastic job of demonstrating the importance of brushing and the beauty and individuality found in every smile. It is perfect for young children who are learning how to care for their own sparkly smiles! I just made Haleigh's first dentist appointment and am reading this book to her to prepare her for the visit. Every time we read it, she wants to go brush her teeth again and stares at her smile in the mirror! I'll count that as a victory for sure!
