Poems Written By the Light of the Moon

Kat Lehmann is a poet who writes her poems by a river under the light of the moon. This book is instantly beautiful with creative ideas and childhood memories. You will enjoy reading about catching falling stars, ocean glass and how delicious a peach can be. Most of the poems are very positive. There is however one sad poem about being an only child and Kat Lehman expresses her eternal longing for a sibling. There are poems about the moon but also some about motherhood. One poem, "The Language of Beauty" is stunningly intimate for a poem. Kat Lehmann must be a dreamy wonderful person to write poems this magical.

Kat's words flow like water, tumbling over stones, swirling.. It is like watching a sunrise, slowly the words build onto themselves forming their own identity, creating form. Love this work, it feels like home.

Lovely, surprising, and masterful - you will identify with these snapshots of life

This collection of poetry touches my heart! I love everything about it. The comparison is made between phases of the moon and phases of life... To me, these poems seem like snapshots of those phases, almost like pictures taken of life moments and how they impact us universally. The reflections Kat makes on each of those snapshots are profound and real and beautiful. She masterfully takes you to the scene in each piece, painting the picture with precision and warmth in each well chosen word. The array of emotions expressed here is .... complete in its on way, just like the cycles of the moon. I find myself now reminded and referring back to pieces in this book when I see the moon at different phases and reflect on my own life experiences. This collection of poetry is truly special, I highly recommend it.
