Easy to follow for the short-term

This book helped me get a jump-start on my weight loss by laying out specific rules that broke me of my old habits. Easy to follow for the short-term, as long as your committed to making a long-term life style change. My doctors have been very supportive of this lifestyle change and aren't concerned over my rapid loss. I am 10 pounds away from a healthy BMI for the first time in years! YAY!

Best part, this book is realistic. If you want to lose weight in a short period of time and keep it off, give this book a try. I lost 6lbs. Need I say more My favorite part was the recipes. After all, you are what you eat. This book was a great purchase if I may say.

Great book

The author right out of the gate with her table of contents provides the broad scope of the different aspects of weight loss - from the psych aspect; to exercise programs; to different foods; to dispelling myths; to habits that hurt weight loss; breaking the sugar addiction; tips and tricks; to addressing various health and hollistic tidbits. This is a very broad range of information; and the author actually presents it in very sufficient detail!

I found her book to be extremely detailed, concise, and arranged in a way that I can easily reference things later; or do further research on my own. Her selection of information is beyond what most experts talk about, and far more than the mainstream knowledge. I highly recommend this book!
